Lace, Fringe, & Gladiators

Marly KlugeComment

I'm the type of person where my style changes based on my mood that day. Some days, I just feel like going all out boho: fringe, lace, layered necklaces, hats, long and flowing silhouettes. Go big or go home right? Today was one of those days.

These calf high gladiator sandals are from JustFab, and they are one of my favorite summer buys. Honestly, they pair well with so many things... especially high waisted jean shorts, sundresses, and flirty skirts. Combined with a short hemline, their brown leather color can really elongate your legs; always a plus. So, I paired them with these button up, high waisted denim shorts. On top I'm wearing a tank top with lace panel hem and this amazing lace kimono with scalloped hem and fringe along both underarms. I got this piece from a boutique in San Diego and loved it right away because it was something I hadn't quite seen before. To accessorize I layered on the gold chain pendants, cobalt blue ring, and gold knuckle rings. Of course, the finishing pieces were this suede wide brim hat with braided accent and a cobalt blue fringe cross body bag (the perfect pop of color to an otherwise neutral outfit). Both from Urban Outfitters.

Boho doesn't always have to mean a casual look though! Genie's outfit proves just this. She's wearing an off the shoulder, lace dress from Free People (the ultimate boho mecca). Her color blocked, Dolce Vita heels are what elevate this boho dress to a more modern and chic feel. We kept the rest of the look simple, just adding the calf hair/black leather Fossil bag.
